Welcome back to my blog guys.
This post is not my usual blog post but its one to encourage people out there who struggle with loving their bodies and accepting it. I used to one of those people, so I have got words of encouragement at the bottom of the post. Be sure to check it out and remain blessed.
So, this leather dress is one of my £1 finds. Yes I got it for a pound and yes its from Primark. Can you believe that? If you are struggling to shop bargains click here for help.
I looked up what leather represents and found something interesting by Diakonos designs. According to them, Leather represents the covenant that God made originally with Abraham about his descendants in Genesis chapter 15. An animal sacrifice was made and God was represented by the smoking pot and flaming torch. The leather ultimately represents the covenantal promise God made with the sacrifice of His Son to redeem us. An animal died to make the leather, Christ died to make us His.
No wonder why this dress makes me feel so powerful, It speaks for itself. I paired mine with a bum bag to hide my little belly down there lool! and the famous knee high boots.
I’m not here to tell you how to wear leather as I would love for you to be creative about it. So go, wear you leather/outfit anyway and anyhow you want to, all them opinions do not matter. You can even send me pictures or tag me in your photos. Go create that masterpiece.
You are not an accident.
I began reading a book titled the purpose driven life a few days ago and these words “You are not an accident” struck me. This is just to encourage anyone struggling with acceptance. God knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. At a point, I didn’t understand why he made me so skinny, I now understand that he made me and you for a purpose. His ways are not our ways.
So, it’s time to stop questioning why your nose is too big or why your legs are not straight but understand that he personally took time to create that masterpiece called you! And he loves you soo much! You do not need acceptance from anyone because you find acceptance in him and they can never love you, like he loves you, okayyy?
So, If you have not accepted him yet, ask him to come into your life; he’s waiting at the door of your heart.
“I am your creator and you were in my care even before you were born” Isaiah 44:2
