How to style a sun hat.

Heyy guys! in today’s post I’ll be sharing with you how I styled my sun hat. My look was inspired by the way the nomads dress, but as always I made it fashion.

So first things first! in order to style a sun hat, you need to know what look you are going for. Although this look was unplanned and spontaneous, I drew inspiration from the nomads.

I basically have been itching to wear my silk scarf for the longest as its been gathering dust in my closet. I also recently got a sun hat which didn’t fit quite right on my head, so I decided to pair it with my scarf by tying it underneath to fill up space and whala! this look was born.

The scarf was slippery when tied on my head, so I used my brothers durag to hold the scarf in place. I paired these accessories with my favourite black top from primark and some DIY shorts my sister made a long time ago with some old pair of summer palazzo pants.

Secondly, you need to decide what type and size of hat you want. Do you want a ridiculously large hat for the beach or a hat you can wear with any outfit every other day. I went with a medium sized hat because that was what was available at the arts market, I would have preferred a much bigger hat but I’m glad I got this one as I will be able to style it with any outfit.

Lastly accessorize! I tied a scarf underneath the sun hat but you can also tie it around it using a bandana or any scarf of your choosing! like in this photo below.
